Security Officer - University
About The Position
As a full-time unarmed Security Officer at a financial institution location in Westlake, Texas, you will help safeguard clients, employees, and visitors. You will monitor access points and visitor activity, conduct routine and random patrols, respond to incidents and alarms, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. The role includes carrying out site-specific security procedures and policies, providing customer service, preparing reports, and communicating relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership. The schedule is Monday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 2:30 PM to 10:30 PM. The pay rate is $19.00 per hour.
Requirements
- At least 6 months of security-related experience.
- At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Applicants are subject to a background investigation, in accordance with applicable laws.
- Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements may apply under state or local laws and regulations, and may be required before employment.
Nice To Haves
- Customer service experience.
- CPR certification.
- Access control and badge experience.
- CPR and First Aid certification.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out site-specific security procedures, policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations, following established protocols.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, business areas, entry points, and perimeter to identify and report unusual activity or potential concerns.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, assist with access control, and direct individuals as needed.
- Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, observations, and patrol activities.
- Communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
