About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Unarmed Patrol Security Officer to serve and safeguard a university campus in Cheyney, Pennsylvania. The officer will help maintain a welcoming campus environment through visible patrols, customer service, observation, incident response, and accurate documentation. The role involves working with students, faculty, staff, visitors, campus partners, and emergency responders. The stated schedule is Monday and Friday, 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Undergo a drug screen as a condition of employment to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any applicable licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus partners while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, grounds, parking areas, residence hall exteriors, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify concerns.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, medical emergencies, and other critical situations, following site procedures and coordinating with campus personnel or emergency responders.
Monitor access points and campus activity, reporting suspicious activity, hazards, policy violations, and maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel.
Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation while maintaining a professional presence in an educational setting.
