About The Position

The Campus Security Officer helps maintain a safe and secure environment for our clients by actively monitoring the premises, including access control and patrolling a variety of locations. They preserve order while enforcing regulations and directives for our client sites pertaining to personnel, visitors, and the area. This is a part-time position with a flex agreement where the officer works 16 hours paid for 24 hours at $21.00/HR, with the reasonable expectation that the officer will cover other shifts that become available due to call offs or no-shows. The overnight shift is Friday and Saturday from 11 PM to 7 AM.

Requirements

• 18 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Above average computer / technology skills needed.
• Excellent customer service and team leadership skills needed.
• Must be able to work independently.
• Must be able to remain calm and professional during stressful situations.
• Must have great attention to detail and remain vigilant throughout shift.
• Must have a professional demeanor.
• Must be able to respond to emergencies with rapid / effective judgment and use appropriate escalation.
• All candidates must be willing to participate in the Company’s pre-employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation.
• Driver Certification.

Nice To Haves

• Security, Law Enforcement, or Military experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and secure environment for clients by actively monitoring the premises, including access control and patrolling.
• Preserve order while enforcing regulations and directives for client sites pertaining to personnel, visitors, and the area.
• Identify and report safety issues, hazardous conditions, or any suspicious activity.
• Ensure that all post orders are followed and assigned rounds are completed.
• Provide customer service and information to the client’s employees and guests.
• Utilize technology devices throughout the shift.
• Conduct tours of the property.
• Carry out specific tasks and duties of similar nature and scope as required for the assigned site.
• Cover other shifts that become available due to call offs / no shows.
