About The Position

The Campus Security Officer helps maintain a safe and secure environment for our clients by actively monitoring the premises, including access control and patrolling a variety of locations. They preserve order while enforcing regulations and directives for our client sites pertaining to personnel, visitors, and the area. This is a part-time position with a flex agreement where officers work 16 hours but are paid for 24 hours at $21.00/HR, with the reasonable expectation that the officer will cover other shifts that become available due to call-offs or no-shows.

Requirements

18 years of age or older.
High School Diploma or GED required.
Above average computer/technology skills needed.
Excellent customer service and team leadership skills needed.
Must be able to work independently.
Must be able to remain calm and professional during stressful situations.
Must have great attention to detail and remain vigilant throughout shift.
Must have a professional demeanor.
All candidates must be willing to participate in the Company’s pre-employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation.
Driver Certification.

Nice To Haves

Security, Law Enforcement, or Military experience a plus.

Responsibilities

Maintain a safe and secure environment for clients.

Identify and report safety issues, hazardous conditions, or suspicious activity.
Ensure all post orders are followed and assigned rounds are completed.
Provide customer service and information to client employees and guests.
Utilize technology devices throughout the shift.
Conduct tours of the property.
Carry out specific tasks and duties of a similar nature and scope as required for the assigned site.
Conflict resolution and de-escalation.
Respond to emergencies with rapid/effective judgment and use appropriate escalation.
