About The Position

California State University, Los Angeles (Cal State LA) is seeking a University Registrar. This Administrator III position reports directly to the Executive Director for Enrollment Services and serves as the University’s principal custodian of student records. As a key member of the enrollment management team, the Registrar is responsible for planning, organizing, and managing all activities related to student records, including collection, retention, and reporting. This role also facilitates course registration, class scheduling, graduation certification, certification of veterans/service members/dependent status, and all other matriculation-related services. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year college or university.
  • Five years of progressively responsible work experience in higher education registration and records, enrollment management and/or student services.
  • A minimum of four years supervising the work of others.
  • Demonstrated interest or ability in working in a multicultural/multiethnic environment.
  • Must reside in the State of California.
  • Background check (including a criminal records check) must be completed satisfactorily.
  • Must file Conflict of Interest forms subject to the regulations of the Fair Political Practices Commission.
  • Must comply with the requirements set forth in CSU Executive Order 1083 revised July 21, 2017, as a condition of employment (mandated reporter under the California Child Abuse and Neglect Reporting Act).

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in Public Administration, Higher Education or related field.
  • Experience with PeopleSoft Student Administration or similar comprehensive student record data and reporting systems.
  • Experience with document imaging and archival systems.
  • Experience with classroom scheduling software.
