About The Position

As a Phillips 66 Procurement University New Hire you will join our Early Career Program, a gateway to the dynamic world of Procurement and the experiences you need to build a rewarding career from the ground up. Applicants will be placed in an entry level role within Analytics, Data Insights, Business Improvement, Strategic Sourcing, or other function, dependent on business needs and candidate skillsets. Procurement is a great place to work for individuals who like to be in the middle of everything, learning about the various business units within Phillips 66 while working hard to find the best solutions for our stakeholders. Procurement is vital to every aspect of Phillips 66. We source, contract for, and buy thousands of materials and services for most facets of the Phillips 66 business, no matter how big or small.

Requirements

  • Legally authorized to work in the job posting country
  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business, or equivalent field of study
  • Graduation date between Winter 2026 or Spring/Summer 2027

Nice To Haves

  • A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.25 on a 4.0 scale
  • Previous internship with Phillips 66
  • Previous internship or co-op participant in related industry

Responsibilities

  • Generate, extract, and analyze data to provide valuable insight into the market and our businesses spending patterns.
  • Support business objectives and planning activities by developing and utilizing spend, cost, and market intelligence models to secure advantageous pricing and terms from our external partners.
  • Gain an understanding of fundamental procurement processes used across the company.
  • Support strategic sourcing and supplier management activities for day to day operations and capital projects of various sizes to meet business needs.
  • Become proficient in interpreting, creating, and negotiating contract language that establishes the commercial and legal relationship between Phillips 66 and its counterparties.
  • Develop the skills necessary to manage the full contract execution process from agreement inception to implementation while engaging with appropriate internal and external stakeholders.
