About The Position

As a Phillips 66 Midstream Engineering University New Hire, you will participate in training and developmental programs designed to provide a comprehensive roadmap for early career engineers. The program aims to foster a robust understanding of midstream processes and the energy industry within a collaborative environment that values contributions. Midstream operations encompass crude oil and refined products, natural gas gathering and processing, and NGL transportation and fractionation. The role involves utilizing logistics assets to ensure the strategic, timely, and environmentally safe delivery of various energy products.

Requirements

  • Legally authorized to work in the job posting country.
  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science/Corrosion, Metallurgical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or equivalent field of study.
  • Valid driver's license at time of employment.
  • Expected graduation date between December 2026 to Spring/Summer 2027.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, or an alien admitted as permanent resident, refugee, asylee or temporary resident under 8 U.S.C. 1160(a)(1). Individuals with temporary visas such as E, F-1, H-1, H-2, L, B, J, or TN or who need sponsorship for work authorization now or in the future, are not eligible for hire.

Nice To Haves

  • A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
  • Previous internship with Phillips 66.
  • Previous internship or co-op participant in a related industry.
  • Willing to work in any of our operating locations.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in training and developmental programs.
  • Gain a robust understanding of midstream processes and the energy industry.
  • Collaborate with experienced engineers and learn from internal and external experts.
  • Contribute to areas such as business or economic analysis, control systems, environmental, equipment reliability and maintenance, process design, operations, and/or projects.
  • Drive to field sites as necessary.
