The Global Commercial Organization focuses on maximizing general interest profitability by sourcing advantaged feedstocks to our refineries and asset optimization through our global market presence. Global market presence affords Phillips 66 24-hour market access, enabling us to fulfill our mission of providing energy and improving lives through crude oil, refined products, renewable fuels, power, and natural gas. Commercial colleagues work globally to optimize assets and improve performance by gathering market intelligence, managing risk, developing external relationships, and creating innovative supply chain solutions. Supported by integrated marine and surface transportation and logistics teams, the global organization capitalizes on market opportunities, enhancing returns for Phillips 66. Example roles include market analyst, trading desk position analyst, logistics coordinator, marine operations and chartering, scheduler, business development and origination, and commodity trader. Commercial University New Hires will join the Phillips 66 Trader Development Program following an onboarding to Phillips 66 as part of the KATALYST program. The Phillips 66 Trader Development Program is a competitive learning journey for individuals aspiring to build a trading career at Phillips 66. It seeks strategic thinkers with a strong interest in global markets and energy, who are analytical, desire to learn, and perform under pressure. Team players with high-level verbal and written communication skills are essential. Members will participate in structured training, formal mentorship, and hands-on experience. Members will also participate in KATALYST, a premier industry-leading energy commodity supply and trading onboarding program for market-savvy university hires. KATALYST provides a dynamic immersion into the Phillips 66 energy value chain, relationship building, and focuses on key businesses and markets through off-site learnings, case studies, expert discussions, analysis assignments, and networking opportunities.

Requirements

  • Legally authorized to work in the job posting country.
  • Bachelor’s degree program in Engineering, Economics, Finance, Mathematics/Data Analytics, Supply Chain Management, or equivalent field of study or a Master’s degree in Economics, Finance or MBA.
  • Graduation date prior to December 31, 2026 or May 31, 2027.
  • Available to work at Houston, TX headquarters.

Nice To Haves
