About The Position

This is an 8-month temporary co-op position for a University Student in IT Operations, focusing on Business Analyst tasks. The role involves assisting with post-migration activities for the Windows 11 Migration Project, including moving on-premises infrastructure to Azure. The student will also provide project management support for the Windows 11 Application Readiness Project, create reports and dashboards to track progress and risks, and migrate workloads from SCCM to Microsoft Intune. Additionally, the role includes assisting in the creation and modification of department processes, researching resources, collaborating with team managers and senior staff, managing and tracking project statuses, and reporting on variances. The student will perform other duties as required.

Requirements

  • Currently in 2nd or 3rd year of a 4-year Business or IT Management program
  • Proficient in scripting and debugging.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, SharePoint)
  • Strong communication, planning, and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of IT and business administration
  • Ability to function as a team member and agent of change
  • Excellent analytical, written, and oral communication skills
  • Must be enrolled in post-secondary level studies and returning to full-time studies upon completion of the work term (exceptions made if work term is required for graduation)
  • Must have obtained a proper work permit and a Social Insurance Number (SIN) if an international student

Nice To Haves

  • Power BI or analytics tools experience is an asset

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the post-migration activities of the Windows 11 Migration Project including, but not limited to, moving on-premises infrastructure to Azure.
  • Assist in ongoing project management support of the Windows 11 Application Readiness Project
  • Assist in creating reports, dashboards, and other visualizations to clearly articulate progress, statuses, and risks
  • Migrate various workloads from System Center Configuration Management (SCCM) to Microsoft Intune
  • Assist in the creation and modification of department processes
  • Receive assignments from supervisors on problems related to assigned area of work
  • Research available resources and contacts required to perform the necessary analysis and propose effective recommendations
  • Work with others, including different team managers and senior staff as required
  • Assist in managing and tracking project statuses and report on variances
  • Assist in driving project success through timely update requests
  • Perform other duties as required
