About The Position

The Universal Vault Specialist I receives, processes, verifies, images, and balances deposits from ATMs, commercial and consumer customers, and other financial institutions. The role uses automated systems and high-speed equipment to ensure customers receive proper credit, maintain accuracy in meeting service-level agreements, and complete end-of-day duties that generate a report of work performed.

This position works as part of an interdependent, close-knit team. The team emphasizes shared success, empathy, and helping colleagues, with engagement supported through staff meetings, team-building events, appreciation lunches, recognition, volunteerism, and relationships with subject matter experts across the organization.

Requirements

• High school completion.
• 0–2 years of cash-handling experience as a teller or in a retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with organizing and distributing work to the appropriate processing areas.
• Image deposits and balance transactions, using correction tickets for out-of-balance deposits.
• Maintain outage limits within teller processing guidelines.
• Balance inventory daily by denomination, including checking strapped currency, loose currency, and coin.
• Prepare and sell funds to appropriate inventories and communicate with internal and external customers about deposit information.
• Perform daily maintenance on coin machines, high-speed currency counters, desktop currency counters, image machines, and workstations.
• Complete end-of-day duties and generate a report detailing work performed.
• Maintain accuracy to meet service-level agreements and ensure proper credit is issued to customers.
