About The Position

The Universal Banker II provides prompt, efficient, and friendly service to deliver an excellent customer experience to customers and employees. The role identifies customer needs and suggests or refers appropriate Bank products and services. The Universal Banker II performs tasks accurately and efficiently while following established Bank policies and procedures. The position requires an outgoing, sales-oriented, flexible, adaptable, and results-driven approach, along with the ability to work independently and as part of a team, make sound decisions, and use critical thinking skills.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
At least one year of retail banking experience.
At least six months of new account experience.
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
Must have an iOS or Android smartphone that supports security features required by the Bank's IT security guidelines.

Responsibilities

Performs all Universal Banker I duties at a proficient level.
Processes teller-line transactions, including accepting deposits and loan payments, verifying cash and endorsements, cashing checks, issuing official checks, and potentially providing overrides and approvals.
Counts and balances the cash drawer daily, proactively identifying and resolving discrepancies.
Follows BSA/AML/OFAC policies and procedures and reports suspicious activity.
Maintains integrity and keeps Bank business and information confidential.
Opens new customer accounts accurately and efficiently.
Handles complex customer inquiries and requests.
Uses strong sales skills, routinely refers appropriate additional products, and documents referrals in Salesforce, including referrals to other lines of business.
Moves among roles within the banking center as needed and adapts to meet its needs.
Participates in Bank and Team activities.
May take on additional responsibilities, such as internal committee involvement or corporate initiatives.
May serve as backup to the manager in the manager's absence.
May effectively mentor others.
