About The Position

Clay County Health and Rehabilitation is seeking an RN or LPN Unit Manager to lead nursing staff and help ensure residents receive exceptional, compassionate care. The role includes supervising clinical nurses and nurse assistants, providing direct patient care, coordinating treatment planning and staffing, maintaining compliant documentation, addressing resident and family concerns, and supporting staff development and quality improvement. The position is full-time and scheduled Friday through Sunday, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., plus a monthly on-call rotation.

Requirements

• Active RN or LPN license in good standing.
• At least 3 years of nursing experience; skilled nursing or long-term care experience is preferred.
• At least 1 year of nursing leadership or administrative experience.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Passion for patient-centered care and team development.

Responsibilities

• Oversee clinical nurses and nurse assistants to support high-quality, compassionate care.
• Conduct comprehensive medical assessments, implement treatment plans, and ensure compliance with care standards.
• Ensure adequate staffing coverage, assist with hiring, and support team development.
• Maintain accurate resident records and ensure adherence to state and federal regulations.
• Work with families and staff to address grievances and maintain resident rights.
• Mentor nursing staff and participate in training programs, including Preceptor Training.
• Implement ideas and processes to improve patient outcomes and facility operations.
