About The Position

Journey Healthcare is seeking a Unit Manager to lead nursing services and support exceptional quality outcomes through a dedicated Care Team. The role plans, organizes, and directs unit nursing services while ensuring compliance with regulations and facility policies. The Unit Manager also coordinates resident care, supports staff development, and maintains the quality and accuracy of documentation.

Requirements

• Nursing degree from an accredited institution.
• At least 2 years of direct care experience in long-term, restorative, or geriatric settings as an LPN or RN.
• At least 1 year of nursing management experience.
• Current CPR certification.
• Meet all state licensing requirements with no disciplinary actions.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and direct nursing services while ensuring compliance with regulations and facility policies.
• Make staffing assignments and encourage professional development.
• Review documentation for quality and accuracy.
• Oversee resident assessments and ensure adequate supplies.
• Address grievances and report them to the Director of Nursing in a timely manner.
