Unit Manager (RN / LPN)
About The Position
Crystal Lake Healthcare and Rehabilitation is seeking an experienced Unit Manager (RN/LPN) to provide clinical leadership and oversee daily nursing operations at its 235-bed skilled nursing facility in Bayville, New Jersey. The Unit Manager oversees clinical operations and workflow on the assigned unit, supports and supervises nursing staff, and monitors resident care for compliance with standards and regulations. The role also includes maintaining care plans and clinical documentation, administering medications and treatments as needed, coordinating with physicians, residents, and families, and supporting admissions, discharges, infection control, and quality improvement. The position emphasizes compassionate, resident-focused care and leadership, training, and mentorship for nursing staff.
Requirements
- Active New Jersey LPN or RN license.
- Two years of supervisory long-term care or skilled nursing experience required.
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively with residents, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
- Commitment to compassionate, resident-focused care.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily clinical operations and workflow on the assigned unit.
- Supervise and support nursing staff, including LPNs, RNs, and CNAs.
- Monitor resident care to ensure compliance with care standards and regulations.
- Review and update care plans, documentation, and clinical records.
- Administer medications and treatments as needed.
- Communicate with physicians, residents, and families regarding care updates.
- Assist with admissions, discharges, and care transitions.
- Support infection control and quality improvement initiatives.
- Provide leadership, training, and mentorship to nursing staff.
- Ensure adherence to facility policies and state and federal regulations.
