About The Position

The Union Utility Team Member supports behind-the-scenes restaurant operations by collecting used dishes, plates, and utensils; loading dishwashing machines; and storing washed items appropriately. The role also involves collecting garbage, sweeping, mopping, and maintaining the cleanliness of the facility inside and out. The position requires shift availability, including occasional evenings and weekends, and contributes to providing a positive dining experience for customers.

Responsibilities

Collect used kitchenware from dining and kitchen areas.
Load and unload dishwashing machines.
Wash specific items by hand, such as wooden cutting boards, large pots, and delicate china.
Store clean pots, pans, dishes, glasses, and equipment appropriately.
Ensure sufficient clean pots, pans, dishes, glasses, and utensils are available, especially during peak hours.
Maintain stock of cleaning supplies, such as detergents, and notify a supervisor when necessary.
Check dishwashing machines’ operation and promptly report technical or performance issues.
Remove garbage regularly.
Sanitize the kitchen area, including floors, walls, doors, and handles.
Sweep, mop, and maintain the cleanliness of the facility inside and out.
