About The Position

The Uniform Attendant is responsible for properly handling guest clothing and team member uniforms, ensuring they meet cleanliness, quality, and presentation standards. The role supports housekeeping operations and guest and employee satisfaction by processing garments, maintaining uniform inventory, and caring for laundry equipment and the work area.

Nice To Haves

Previous laundry experience.
Experience in a hotel or commercial dry-cleaning setting.
Basic knowledge of laundry equipment and cleaning chemicals.
Bilingual abilities.

Responsibilities

Sort, classify, and separate garments by type, color, and condition.
Operate washers, dryers, steamers, irons, and other laundry equipment according to guidelines.
Load and unload machines and select appropriate cycles.
Monitor wash and dry cycles for quality and efficiency.
Fold, stack, and organize clean linens according to established standards.
Inspect uniforms and guest clothing for stains, damage, or wear, and remove or report items as needed.
Treat stains using appropriate cleaning solutions and techniques.
Maintain consistent uniform inventory and par levels.
Keep the laundry and uniform area clean, organized, and free of hazards.
Follow safety procedures and proper chemical-handling guidelines.
Promptly report equipment malfunctions and maintenance issues.
Ensure proper use and care of laundry equipment.
Assist with handling and processing guest laundry requests.
Follow housekeeping policies, procedures, and brand standards.
Meet productivity and quality expectations for processing guest clothing and uniforms.
Communicate needs effectively with supervisors and team members.
