About The Position

The Uniform Attendant is responsible for properly handling guest clothing and team member uniforms. The role ensures that guest clothes and uniforms meet cleanliness, quality, and presentation standards, supporting housekeeping operations and guest and employee satisfaction. Duties include processing garments and maintaining laundry equipment, inventory, and a safe, organized work area, while following housekeeping policies, procedures, and brand standards.

Requirements

• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.

Nice To Haves

• Previous laundry experience.
• Experience in a hotel or commercial dry-cleaning setting.
• Basic knowledge of laundry equipment and cleaning chemicals.

Responsibilities

• Sort, classify, and separate garments by type, color, and condition.
• Operate washers, dryers, steamers, irons, and other laundry equipment according to guidelines.
• Load and unload machines and select appropriate cycles.
• Monitor wash and dry cycles for quality and efficiency.
• Fold, stack, and organize clean linens according to established standards.
• Inspect uniforms and guest clothes for stains, damage, or wear, and remove or report items as needed.
• Treat stains using appropriate cleaning solutions and techniques.
• Maintain consistent inventory and par levels of uniforms.
• Keep the laundry and uniform area clean, organized, and free of hazards.
• Follow safety procedures and proper chemical-handling guidelines.
• Promptly report equipment malfunctions or maintenance issues.
• Ensure proper use and care of laundry equipment.
• Assist with handling and processing guest laundry requests.
• Adhere to housekeeping policies, procedures, and brand standards.
• Meet productivity and quality expectations for processing guest clothes and uniforms.
• Communicate with supervisors and team members regarding needs.
