About The Position

QuadScore Insurance Services, an NFP company, is hiring an entry-level Underwriting Specialist to support underwriting administration and help build the company’s brand and organization. QuadScore provides insurance coverage to the cannabis industry. The role is based in the company’s Sandy Springs, Georgia office and involves working with experienced underwriters to develop property and casualty solutions. The position requires comfort working through ambiguity and finding solutions to new problems. Risk Management and Insurance majors are preferred, but candidates with other degrees are welcome; insurance experience is preferred but not required.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree.
Highly self-motivated and detail-oriented, with the ability to work effectively in an early-stage, high-growth environment.
Willingness to learn quickly in a constantly evolving environment.
Strong math and analytical skills, with an emphasis on problem-solving.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and G-Suite products.
Property & Casualty license required after two months of employment.

Nice To Haves

Risk Management and Insurance degree preferred.
Commercial property and casualty experience helpful but not required.
Insurance experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Review applications and perform initial underwriting for cannabis accounts.
Identify and gather relevant account information for new business and renewal policy activity.
Participate with underwriters in renewal and new business activities that support marketing and underwriting decisions aligned with growth and retention goals.
Process endorsements, policy changes, and account renewals.
Assess clients’ current insurance placements for strengths and deficiencies.
Work directly with specialized insurance brokers to develop business relationships.
Schedule inspections and monitor compliance with recommendations.
Manage account documentation.
