About The Position

The Underwriting Advance Specialist I reviews client factoring applications, assesses client and customer credit quality, recommends potential pricing and transaction structures, and documents approvals for new clients. The role works with the inside sales team and operations staff, provides industry trend information, and has final approval authority for transactions of $100,000 and under.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 0–1 years of related experience.
• Ability to quickly assess the credit quality of a prospective client.
• Ability to understand where a prospective client stands in Love's marketplace.
• Willingness to find solutions to prospective clients' problems.
• Ability to work well with sales staff.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Ability to understand cross-selling opportunities for other Love's products.
• Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator.
• Ability to sit for prolonged periods and perform some bending and stooping.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting.
• Previous factoring experience.

Responsibilities

• Analyze factoring applications and credit quality for new clients.
• Recommend proposed pricing and transaction structures.
• Communicate with the inside sales team after reviewing new client applications and credit information.
• Analyze client and customer credit information to determine creditworthiness.
• Provide current information on industry trends.
• Provide final approval for transactions of $100,000 and under.
• Work with operations staff to redocument existing customers.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
