About The Position

Berkley Luxury Group is seeking an Underwriting Intern to join its team during Summer 2027. The role is based in the company’s Parsippany, New Jersey office and reports to the Chief Underwriting Officer. The intern will gain an in-depth understanding of the insurance industry, receive on-the-job training, and work on meaningful assignments and projects that support business strategies.

Requirements

• Be pursuing a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• Be knowledgeable and proficient with Microsoft Professional products and internet search capabilities.
• Demonstrate exceptional oral and written communication skills and communicate clearly and purposefully, adapting communication style to the situation.
• Remain calm under pressure and demonstrate organizational skills, integrity, and follow-through.
• Be comfortable challenging norms while working collaboratively with colleagues.
• Demonstrate a strong customer-service orientation and responsiveness, including the ability to say no while preserving relationships.
• Show curiosity, an interest in learning how things work, and an inclination to seek innovative improvements.
