About The Position

Berkley Luxury Group is seeking an Underwriting Intern to join its team during Summer 2027, based in the Parsippany, New Jersey office. Under the direction of the Chief Underwriting Officer, the intern will gain an in-depth understanding of the insurance industry through on-the-job training and meaningful assignments. The position supports assigned work and business strategies while developing technical and professional skills.

Requirements

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• Knowledge of and proficiency with Microsoft Professional products and internet search capabilities.
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills, including the ability to adapt communication style to the situation and communicate clearly and purposefully.
• Calm under pressure, with strong organizational skills, integrity, and follow-through on tasks.
• Ability to challenge norms while working collaboratively with colleagues.
• Strong customer-service orientation, responsiveness, and ability to preserve relationships when delivering an unfavorable answer.
• Natural curiosity, interest in learning how things work, and inclination to seek innovative improvements.
