About The Position

Western National Insurance Group is seeking a Support Specialist I to provide administrative support to underwriters and agencies. The role rates and enters transactions into established systems and supports the underwriting team. It offers an opportunity to develop underwriting support skills and contribute as a member of Western National, known as “The Relationship Company®.”

Requirements

Proficient in typing numeric and alphabetic characters.
Good communication skills.

High school diploma or equivalent.
Proficient use of core systems, office and computer equipment, and software packages.

Responsibilities

Index new documents to file by document type and handling department.
Enter new business submissions and identify additional submissions and active policies to prevent duplication.
Update routine reports and understand the information they contain.
Perform special projects and other duties as assigned.
Seek relevant information and answers to key questions from defined sources.
Gather input and make recommendations to solve problems of moderate complexity.
Apply knowledge to help solve problems of relatively limited scope and complexity.
Consistently follow customer experience standards by responding quickly, maintaining a positive attitude, building rapport, demonstrating empathy, managing customer expectations, using the appropriate communication channel, and taking ownership to resolve customer issues.
Create and deliver varied types of messages and information.
Contact other internal departments and team members.
