About The Position

Nevada Gold Mines is seeking an Underground Mobile Maintenance Planner for its Turquoise Ridge operations. As part of the Underground Maintenance team, the successful candidate will improve maintenance efficiency through planned, predictive, and other maintenance techniques and systems. The role plans, prioritizes, schedules, and coordinates maintenance work, supporting safe and efficient completion through coordination of resources, parts, tools, materials, and personnel. It also uses SAP and Microsoft Office applications to manage work orders, schedules, costs, inventories, and work packages. The position contributes to project delivery and follows the organization's health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures. The planner is expected to develop their capabilities through training and development, maintain relevant knowledge of technology, regulations, and industry practices, and coordinate with maintenance, operations, purchasing, warehouse staff, and external vendors. Requirements

High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Solid understanding of and ability to apply MSHA regulations and compliance requirements.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and strategic-thinking skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Project, and Outlook.

Nice To Haves

Certificate, diploma, or technical qualification in maintenance, scheduling, or a related field.
Some experience in mining, maintenance, operations, or planning and scheduling support.

Responsibilities

Plan, prioritize, schedule, and coordinate corrective, preventive, and risk-based maintenance activities.
Coordinate routine maintenance planning, including resources, parts, and tools or equipment, and schedule work for safe and efficient completion.
Assist with planning and scheduling non-routine planned maintenance activities.
Coordinate with maintenance supervisors to use manpower and materials effectively and expedite repairs.
Coordinate with business partners to ensure work follows approved statements of work, invoices are submitted appropriately, and invoices are reviewed against existing agreements.
Prepare daily maintenance-team work schedules using computer-based programs to prioritize maintenance requests.
Track work orders, backlog, and schedule progress in SAP.
Determine parts and supplies costs for work orders and communicate and forecast costs accurately to maintenance management.
Use software such as SAP and Microsoft Office products to complete daily activities.
Develop task and material lists, build activities, review stock-level requirements, and coordinate and maintain purchasing and materials inventories.
Prepare work packages that include conditions and constraints, parts lists, and step-by-step best-practice job procedures.
Communicate and coordinate with maintenance, operations, purchasing, and warehouse staff at all levels, as well as outside vendors.
Contribute to project delivery by completing specified activities within defined time and quality parameters and following the prescribed project-management methodology.
Follow HS&E policies, procedures, and mandatory instructions to identify and mitigate environmental and workplace risks.
Develop capabilities through assessment and development planning, training, coaching, and relevant external professional accreditation; keep current with technology, regulations, and industry best practices through ongoing education and other learning.
