About The Position

Nevada Gold Mines is seeking an Underground Mobile Maintenance Parts Runner to support the Turquoise Ridge Underground Maintenance team. The role sources, tracks, delivers, and stages parts and materials so underground mobile equipment can be repaired and returned to service safely and efficiently.

The position works with the warehouse, maintenance planners, supervisors, and repair crews to identify and obtain parts, prioritize urgent needs, prepare parts for scheduled work, and maintain inventory and shop areas. It also involves safely transporting materials on the surface and underground, communicating parts status, completing inspections and housekeeping, and following site safety procedures.

Requirements

• One year of experience in parts, warehouse, logistics, or maintenance support is required; a combination of education and experience may be considered.
• Ability to identify parts by make, model, part number, size, and type is required.
• Valid driver's license with a safe driving record is required.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook and Excel, are required.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment are required.
• Excellent safety and attendance record is required.
• Ability to perform the essential job functions, including lifting and carrying parts and working in underground conditions, is required.
• Ability to work a rotating schedule of nights and days is required.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in mining, heavy equipment, or industrial settings.
• Basic knowledge of heavy mobile equipment components and systems, including engines, hydraulics, drivetrains, and electrical systems.
• Experience with SAP or a similar ERP/inventory system.
• Forklift and/or telehandler experience.
• Underground mining experience and current MSHA Part 48 Underground training.

Responsibilities

• Pick up, deliver, and stage parts, components, tools, and consumables between the warehouse, surface shops, and underground maintenance shops and work areas.
• Identify parts needed for repairs on underground mobile equipment, including LHDs, haul trucks, jumbos, bolters, and support equipment, by make, model, part number, size, and type.
• Look up parts, check availability, and track orders in SAP; create reservations and requisitions as directed by maintenance planners and supervisors.
• Coordinate with the warehouse, planners, and maintenance crews to prioritize urgent parts and reduce equipment downtime.
• Receive, verify, and kit parts against work orders before scheduled repairs.
• Manage core returns, warranty parts, and damaged or incorrect items, returning them to the warehouse or vendor with correct documentation.
• Maintain shop parts areas, cribs, and laydown yards in a clean, organized, and labeled condition; assist with cycle counts and inventory accuracy.
• Operate light vehicles, forklifts, telehandlers, and other material-handling equipment on the surface and underground to transport parts safely.
• Maintain the shop oil supply, empty used oil bins, and maintain trash bins.
• Communicate parts status to maintenance supervisors and crews by radio and in person.
• Complete pre-operational equipment inspections, work area inspections, and housekeeping duties.
• Follow all site safety procedures, including underground travel, lockout/tagout, and material-handling standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
