About The Position

As a member of our highly collaborative Undergraduate Program Office team, you will work to ensure the effective running of the program by managing the full range of teaching assistant/sessional instructional assistant/sessional lecturer recruitment and hiring processes, executing budget plans, providing guidance and assistance to instructors on university rules and policies, responding to student inquiries, giving presentations, providing course support, managing on-line tools such as Quercus and Sharepoint, and contributing to departmental initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or acceptable combination of equivalent experience.
  • Minimum three years related experience, preferably in a University setting or other educational environment.
  • Proven experience leading full-cycle posting, recruitment, and hiring processes for TA/SIA/SL/ CI positions.
  • Experience with Quercus, Sharepoint, Drupal, CIS, and other relevant tools.
  • Experience with providing course support to faculty, including with course outlines and final exams.
  • Experience generating and analyzing reports.
  • Demonstrated experience applying collective agreements to support workplace processes, tasks, and decision-making.
  • Experience working with complex spreadsheets and data, including financial data.
  • Experience in analyzing and making recommendations for student program enhancements.
  • Demonstrated experience preparing financial reports, reconciling payroll distributions, and maintaining accurate financial accounts.
  • Experience giving presentations and information to students.
  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel), Acorn, ROSI.
  • Strong organizational, presentation and event coordination skills.
  • Ability to interact with faculty, students and professional colleagues in a tactful, professional and diplomatic manner.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet external deadlines and manage competing priorities.
