About The Position

The Undergraduate Student Services Coordinator will join the Office of Student Services (OSS) at The Cornell Peter and Stephanie Nolan School of Hotel Administration. As a key member of the OSS team, this position plays an essential role in supporting the undergraduate student experience and ensuring the successful delivery of student programs and services. This role will lead and support a variety of student-focused initiatives, including planning and executing events, advising undergraduate clubs and organizations, managing scholarship and award processes, supervising student employees, and providing administrative support to ensure the smooth operation of the OSS.

Requirements

  • An Associates degree with four to six year’s of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Professional, punctual, and ethical approach in a highly visible, high traffic role.
  • Ability to manage responsibilities effectively amid frequent interruptions.
  • Dependable and reliable with strong oral and written communication skills.
  • High level organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to prepare clear written memos/emails and handle confidential information appropriately.
  • Ability to recognize and prioritize work independently.
  • Ability to quickly acquire familiarity with office and School regulations, policies, functions, and personnel.
  • Ingenuity and resourcefulness in handling administrative problems, with good judgment, tact, professionalism, and initiative.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in student services or higher education administrative support.
  • Experience with Canvas, WordPress, Campus Groups.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, promote, and execute OSS events and programs in collaboration with campus partners.
  • Serve as an administrative advisor for 10+ undergraduate clubs and organizations, providing guidance on planning, policies, and budget matters.
  • Manage scholarship and award processes, including communications, application tracking, committee coordination, award logistics, and recognition events.
  • Supervise 2–3 undergraduate student employees, including hiring, training, scheduling, task management, payroll approval, and performance feedback.
  • Provide administrative support to the Director of Student Services, including project coordination, financial tracking, purchasing, and office operations.
  • Support front office operations by providing responsive service and backup coverage for students, faculty, staff, and visitors.
