About The Position

A & Associates is seeking a competent Security Officer to surveil its premises and protect staff and visitors. The officer will detect suspicious behavior and help prevent vandalism, theft, and other criminal activity. The role requires surveillance skills, the ability to deal with perpetrators, strong observation, and an appearance that inspires respect and authority. The goal is to help maintain safe, problem-free facilities and excellent working conditions. A valid Florida Class D security license is required, as is a professional appearance.

Requirements

Proven experience as a security officer or guard.
Knowledge of legal guidelines for area security and public safety.
Familiarity with report writing.
Excellent surveillance and observation skills.
Tech-savvy, with experience in surveillance systems.
Trained in First Aid/BLS and self-defense.
Registered as a security officer.
High school diploma.
At least 25 years old.
Valid Security License Class D.
Professional appearance.

Responsibilities

Patrol premises regularly to maintain order and establish a presence.
Monitor and authorize the entrance of vehicles or people onto the property.
Remove wrongdoers or trespassers from the area.
Secure exits, doors, and windows after operations end.
Check surveillance cameras periodically to identify disruptions or unlawful acts.
Investigate people for suspicious activity or possessions.
Respond to alarms by investigating and assessing the situation.
Provide assistance to people in need.
Submit reports of daily surveillance activity and important occurrences.
