About The Position

Security Management is seeking a Professional Unarmed Security Officer to help protect the people and property at assigned facilities. Officers serve as a visible deterrent to crime and client rule infractions and detect and report suspicious, unsafe, or criminal activity. The role emphasizes high-quality security services and effective relationships with client employees and guests. The position requires prolonged standing or walking, occasional stair climbing, bending, twisting, lifting or carrying up to 40 pounds, and running as needed. Officers use their hands and arms continuously for radio and phone use, computer work, writing reports, and other administrative tasks. They must be able to work in changing environments, including outdoor conditions such as cold, rain, or heat, and maintain strong attention to detail.

Requirements

Be a citizen of the United States.
Speak fluent English.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Have a high school diploma or GED.
If a military veteran, have an Honorable discharge as shown on the DD 214.
Pass a criminal record background check.
Pass a 13-panel drug test.
Possess a valid driver's license.
Provide a current three-year driving record.
Have reliable transportation.
Be able to stand or walk for multiple hours, up to an entire shift, on varied surfaces.
Be able to climb stairs occasionally and occasionally bend or twist at the waist, knees, or neck.
Be able to occasionally lift or carry up to 40 pounds and run as needed.
Be able to use both hands and arms continuously for radio or phone use, computer work, report writing, and other administrative tasks.
Be able to use eyesight continuously to read, view security monitors, and observe or interact with people.
Be able to work in and adapt to various environments, including changing outdoor conditions such as cold, rain, or heat.
Have strong attention to detail while on duty.

Responsibilities

Provide high-quality security services to protect people and property.
Report safety concerns, security breaches, and unusual circumstances verbally and in writing.
Build, improve, and maintain effective relationships with client employees and guests.
Answer questions and assist guests and employees.
Answer phones or greet guests and employees in a professional, welcoming manner.
Detect and report suspicious, unsafe, or criminal acts on assigned property.
