About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time unarmed Security Officer for a logistics and distribution location in Greer, South Carolina. The officer will help safeguard the site by monitoring assigned areas, conducting routine patrols, and maintaining a visible presence to deter security-related incidents. The role also involves providing customer service and communicating clearly while upholding Allied Universal’s values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, caring, and integrity. The schedule is Saturday from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Sunday from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. The pay rate is $14.15 per hour. Employees can use Allied Universal’s Claim a Shift platform to view and claim additional shifts.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for an unarmed role.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any licensing requirements imposed by state or local laws and regulations; licensing may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and participate in emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly, using problem-solving skills and escalating concerns according to site procedures.
Conduct regular and random patrols of shipping, receiving, loading dock, warehouse, parking, and perimeter areas.
Monitor access points and observe the movement of personnel, visitors, and vehicles to support authorized entry and site operations.
Document incidents, observations, and irregular conditions in accordance with site-specific reporting procedures.
