About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time unarmed Security Officer in West Columbia, South Carolina. The officer will safeguard clients, provide customer service, follow safety and security procedures and site-specific policies, respond calmly to incidents, and conduct regular and random patrols of the business and its perimeter. The position serves clients in industries including Tech/Media/Telecom; work environments and conditions may vary by client site. Officers can use the Claim a Shift platform to view and pick up open shifts based on their availability. The listed schedule is Saturday and Sunday, 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM. The pay rate is $18.00 per hour.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent, or five years of verifiable experience.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements; licensing may be required before employment.
• Have a valid driver's license only if applying for a driving position.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out safety and security procedures and site-specific policies.
• Participate in emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter.
