About The Position

The Security Guard provides security services at assigned client site(s) during scheduled shifts, helping protect personnel, premises, and assets. The position is based in Des Plaines, Illinois. The listed schedule is Sunday 9:30 a.m.–6:15 p.m., Monday and Tuesday 9:30 a.m.–8:15 p.m., and Wednesday 9:30 a.m.–3:30 p.m. The role is full-time, and schedules, hours, and site assignments may change based on client needs, staffing requirements, call-offs, or contract adjustments. Flexibility is essential, including availability for additional shifts, on-call work, and emergency coverage when needed.

Silver Star Protection Group is a security firm established in 2014 and headquartered in Rolling Meadows, Illinois. It provides physical security, security system integration, consultation, and secure transport services to industries including cannabis, commercial real estate, construction, and data centers. The role requires professionalism, communication, situational awareness, and the ability to respond effectively in emergencies. Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Active PERC required.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Strong situational awareness and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and de-escalation skills.
• Ability to stand, walk, or patrol for extended periods.
• Ability to respond quickly and effectively in emergencies.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.
• Flexibility to work changing schedules and site assignments, including additional shifts, on-call work, or emergency coverage.

Responsibilities

• Provide security services at assigned client site(s), protecting personnel, premises, and assets.
• Be available to work at various shifts and client sites as needed, including additional, on-call, or emergency coverage.
• Maintain professional interactions with clients, visitors, and staff.
• Conduct regular patrols and monitor surveillance equipment while following client security protocols.
• Accurately document incidents, security breaches, and irregularities, and promptly report them to appropriate personnel.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Silver Star leadership team.
