About The Position

Haywood Regional Medical Center is seeking an Ultrasound Technician to join its patient-focused imaging team. The role performs diagnostic ultrasound exams and routine invasive procedures in accordance with established standards and practices, while providing compassionate imaging services to patients of all ages. The position is scheduled Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 7:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., with call on Friday and Saturday nights.

Requirements

• Graduate of a Diagnostic Medical Sonography program or a School of Radiology.
• ARRT certification is required.
• Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS and PALS certifications are required within six months of hire.

Nice To Haves

• One year of experience preferred.
• ASLS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive patients, explain procedures, and help ensure patients are comfortable.
• Provide imaging services to patients of all ages.
• Operate ultrasound equipment to perform clinical diagnostic ultrasound exams and routine invasive procedures according to established standards and practices.
• Maintain equipment and supplies and organize the work area.
• Keep accurate records, assist with ultrasound scheduling, and help maintain smooth patient flow.
