About The Position

Oxford Clinic for Women, a practice partner of Together Women’s Health (TWH), has an opportunity for a part-time Ultrasound Technician. The position may transition to full-time based on future staffing needs. The technician acquires ultrasound images used in medical diagnoses and performs sonography in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and the organization’s policies, values, and mission. The role requires a team-oriented approach to patient care and documentation.

Requirements

• Graduate of a certified ultrasound program.
• ARDMS certified and in good standing.
• Extensive experience in OB/GYN.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with patients in a professional and caring manner.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients courteously and ensure their needs are met.
• Review patient identification and verify physician orders.
• Help patients cooperate with imaging by reducing anxiety, explaining procedures and equipment, and answering questions.
• Review images, make initial observations, document exceptions from established protocols, and communicate data to the physician.
• Follow established standards and procedures to maximize ultrasound production and quality.
• Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following and enforcing standards and procedures.
• Document ultrasound services in patient records.
• Participate in radiology practice improvement activities, including quality of care, patient flow, reject-repeat analysis, and patient satisfaction.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
