About The Position

Haywood Regional Medical Center is seeking an Ultrasound Technician for full-time day shifts at the hospital and outpatient care center, with call rotation. The technician joins a patient-focused imaging team and performs ultrasound examinations and routine invasive procedures in accordance with established standards and practices. The role serves patients of all ages and contributes to accurate diagnoses and patient care.

Requirements

• Graduate of a Diagnostic Medical Sonography program or School of Radiology.
• ARRT certification is required.
• Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS and PALS certifications are required within six months of hire.

Nice To Haves

• One year of experience preferred.
• ASLS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive patients, explain procedures, and help ensure patients are comfortable.
• Provide imaging services to patients of all ages.
• Operate ultrasound equipment to perform clinical diagnostic ultrasound examinations and routine invasive procedures according to established standards and practices.
• Maintain equipment and supplies and organize the work area.
• Keep accurate records, assist with ultrasound scheduling, and support smooth patient flow.
