About The Position

Eastside Gynecology & Obstetrics, a practice partner of Together Women’s Health (TWH), is seeking a full-time Ultrasound Technician. The technician acquires ultrasound images used in medical diagnoses and performs sonography in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and the organization’s policies, values, and mission. The role requires an understanding of team-based patient care and documentation.

Requirements

• Graduate of a certified ultrasound program.
• ARDMS certified and in good standing.
• Extensive experience in OB/GYN.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with patients in a professional and caring manner.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients courteously and ensure their needs are met.
• Review patient identification and verify physician orders.
• Help patients feel comfortable by explaining imaging procedures and equipment, answering questions, and reducing anxiety.
• Review images, make initial observations, document exceptions from established protocols, and communicate data to the physician.
• Maximize ultrasound production and quality by following established standards and procedures.
• Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following and enforcing standards and procedures.
• Document ultrasound services by completing patient record charting.
• Participate in radiology practice improvement activities, including quality of care, patient flow, reject-repeat analysis, and patient satisfaction.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
