About The Position

The Ultrasound Tech/Sonographer performs specialized ultrasonic procedures, assists physicians in diagnosing patients, and supports ultrasound-guided surgical procedures. Asante's imaging program is supervised by a board-certified radiologist who works directly with technicians to interpret test results and provide guidance on complex cases. This position is based at RVI Ambulatory in Grants Pass and is listed as 0.2 FTE, Flexible Workforce, on the first shift (days).

Requirements

• Completion of an accredited imaging program.
• Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) is required upon start.
• Within six months of hire, obtain either American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) registration in Abdomen and/or Obstetrics/Gynecology, or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) registration in Sonography.
• A permanent Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI) license in Sonography is required. An OBMI temporary license is acceptable for new hires; a permanent license and the appropriate registry must be obtained within six months of hire.
