About The Position

The Radiologic Technologist Assistant works in retail imaging within a clinic setting under the direction of a qualified radiologic technologist and/or radiologist. The role performs tests and procedures, including radiologic procedures used to diagnose and treat disease, and provides care and completes specific tasks that support patient care management. Duties are delegated according to the employee’s training and in compliance with Asante policies and applicable state laws.

The assistant also helps with front office and medical-records tasks as needed, assists with radiology procedures, and performs related work. When needed, the role fills in as a tech aide and may perform other patient-care or office duties as directed by technical staff.

Requirements

• Successful completion of radiology technology course work.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) is required upon start.
• Permanent LXMO Permit from the Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI) is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform tests and procedures, including radiologic procedures used in the diagnosis and treatment of disease, under the direction of a qualified radiologic technologist and/or radiologist.
• Provide care and perform delegated tasks that assist in patient care management, consistent with training, Asante policies, and applicable state laws.
• Assist with front-office and medical-records tasks as necessary.
• Assist with radiology procedures and perform related work.
• Fill in as a tech aide when needed.
• Perform other patient-care or office duties as directed by technical staff.
