About The Position

The Ultrasonographer will be responsible for performing a variety of imaging procedures, including Abdomen, GYN, OB, Neonatal, Superficial structures, and Vascular ultrasounds. The role requires competence in diagnosing both normal and pathological conditions across these areas. The position involves utilizing specific equipment and systems within the department and may require floating to other units. The schedule involves 40-hour shift work with on-call responsibilities as needed.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in an acute hospital setting.
  • One contract or more experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a full-time sonographer.
  • ARDMS certification in Abdomen (AB), Obstetrics/Gynecology (OB), and Vascular Technology (RVT).
  • Active BLS certification from AHA.

Responsibilities

  • Perform Abdomen ultrasounds (Aorta, IVC, Liver/Biliary, Pancreas, Spleen, and Renal) for normal and pathological conditions.
  • Conduct GYN ultrasounds (breast, ovaries, Adnexa, Uterus, Pelvis) including post-menopausal, transvaginal, adult, and pediatric cases with pathology and normal findings.
  • Perform OB ultrasounds for all trimesters, including amniocentesis, complication assessments, biophysical profiles, gestational age determination, placental grading, abnormality detection, IGUR, and Uterus/Adnexa evaluations.
  • Execute procedures such as aspirations, biopsies, drainage, and intraoperative ultrasounds.
  • Perform Neonatal ultrasounds for congenital anomalies and neonatal head assessments.
  • Scan Superficial structures including Abdominal wall, breast, focal masses, hematoma, scrotum & testes, and thyroid.
  • Conduct Vascular ultrasounds, including Carotid duplex, segmental pressure studies, and upper and lower extremity venous and arterial duplex.
  • Float to other units/departments as needed.
