About The Position

The Ultrasonographer will be responsible for performing a variety of diagnostic imaging procedures, primarily in an acute hospital setting. This role requires proficiency in a wide range of ultrasound examinations, including abdominal, gynecological, obstetrical, neonatal, superficial structures, and vascular studies. The position involves utilizing specific equipment and EMR/PACS systems, and may require floating to other units/departments. There is a 13-week no time off request period at the beginning of the contract, and the role includes on-call responsibilities.

Requirements

Minimum 3 years of experience in an acute hospital setting.
Minimum 1 contract experience.
Minimum 3 years of experience as a full-time sonographer.
ARDMS (AB)(OB)(RVT) certification.
Active BLS - AHA Certified.

Responsibilities

Perform Abdomen ultrasounds (Aorta, IVC, Liver/Biliary, Pancreas, Spleen, and Renal).
Perform GYN ultrasounds (breast, ovaries, Adnexa, Uterus, Pelvis), including transvaginal, adult, and pediatric.
Perform OB ultrasounds (1st, 2nd, and 3rd trimester, amniocentesis, complications, biophysical profile, gestational age, placental grading, abnormalities, IGUR, Uterus/Adnexa).
Perform procedures including aspirations, biopsies, drainage, and intraoperative ultrasounds.
Perform Neonatal ultrasounds (congenital anomalies and neonatal head).
Perform Superficial structures ultrasounds (Abdominal wall, breast, focal masses, hematoma, scrotum & testes, thyroid).
Perform Vascular ultrasounds (Carotid duplex, segmental pressure studies, upper and lower extremity venous and arterial duplex).
Operate Canon i700 equipment.
Utilize Meditech EMR and Fuji Synapse PACS.
Float to other units/departments as needed.
Participate in on-call duties when appropriate.
