About The Position

Ready Set Rocket (A Sia Company) is seeking a UI/UX Designer to create engaging, gamified digital learning experiences for audiences across a range of ages and knowledge levels. The designer will translate curriculum and content requirements into intuitive, visually compelling experiences, working from early wireframes through high-fidelity interactive prototypes. This is a hands-on, client-embedded role based onsite full-time in New York City, with close collaboration and real-time feedback from the client team. It is suited to an early-to-mid-career designer with strong foundational skills and room to grow, rather than someone seeking a senior or design leadership role. The designer will develop end-to-end UI/UX for educational experiences, adapt designs to different learners and learning needs, and work closely with content and curriculum creators. They will maintain consistent visual and interaction design across lessons and modules, present concepts to client stakeholders, and incorporate feedback while preserving the quality of the experience. Success means learners can navigate and stay engaged, new lessons can be added efficiently, concepts move quickly to client-ready prototypes, and stakeholders value the designer as a responsive and thoughtful partner. The position offers a base salary of $100,000–$115,000, with actual compensation determined by experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other permitted job-related factors. It also includes an annual performance bonus and benefits. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States at application and throughout employment; employment visa sponsorship is not available now or in the future.

  • Demonstrated UI/UX design experience supported by a strong portfolio; candidates must be prepared to discuss their work, process, decisions, and individual contributions.
  • Proficiency with Figma or comparable contemporary design and prototyping tools.
  • Strong fundamentals in wireframing, prototyping, interaction design, information hierarchy, and visual design.
  • Ability to translate complex content and requirements into simple, user-friendly digital experiences.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, including confidence sharing work directly with client stakeholders.
  • Ability to receive feedback, solve problems collaboratively, and iterate quickly.
  • Willingness and ability to work onsite full-time in New York City as part of a client-embedded team.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States at the time of application and throughout employment; visa sponsorship is not available.
