About The Position

The Peninsula Chicago is seeking a Turndown Attendant to join its Rooms division team and contribute to the company’s objectives and memorable guest experiences. This role works in a busy, fast-paced environment alongside a high-profile team at a Five Star Five Diamond luxury brand.

The attendant is responsible for cleaning assigned guest-room floors, replenishing supplies, amenities, and linens according to specifications and trained guidelines, and completing floor checks and room walk-throughs. The role also involves maintaining professionalism, reporting maintenance issues and lost-and-found items, keeping supplies clean, and accounting for assigned supplies, keys, and hub materials and their return. Candidates must be able to work flexible hours and under pressure, follow job-related guidance, and lift and move up to 30 pounds.

Requirements

• Good understanding of housekeeping-related equipment and supplies.

Responsibilities

• Clean assigned guest-room floors and replenish supplies, amenities, and linens according to specifications and trained guidelines.
• Maintain professionalism at all times.
• Report maintenance issues to the designated person and contact.
• Report lost-and-found items according to training.
• Complete a thorough room walk-through to identify incomplete tasks.
• Complete floor checks at assigned times.
• Ensure supplies are clean.
• Account for assigned supplies, keys, and hub materials and return them.
