About The Position

The Room Attendant is responsible for cleaning and preparing guest rooms and public areas to ensure high standards of cleanliness, comfort, and guest satisfaction. The role follows established housekeeping procedures and works efficiently to support daily hotel operations.

Maison Métier is a 67-room boutique luxury hotel in New Orleans’ Warehouse District, offering personalized service in a design-forward setting. Amenities include on-site food and beverage operations, a rooftop pool, a fitness center, and valet parking.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and cleaning standards.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently.
• Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand, bend, and walk for extended periods.
• Good time management and organizational skills.
• Professional and friendly demeanor.

Nice To Haves

• Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred.
• Hospitality environment experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Clean and service guest rooms, including bathrooms, beds, floors, and amenities.
• Change linens, replace towels, and restock supplies.
• Ensure rooms meet cleanliness and brand standards.
• Promptly report maintenance issues, damages, or missing items.
• Maintain cleanliness of hallways, carts, and storage areas.
• Follow safety and sanitation guidelines, including proper chemical handling.
• Respond to guest requests courteously and professionally.
• Assist with laundry or public area cleaning as assigned.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
