About The Position
Doncasters is seeking a Tundish Builder Operator to join their experienced team in a challenging and fast-paced environment. This role is crucial for the production of high-performance vacuum refined superalloys serving the aerospace, Industrial Gas Turbine, and automotive markets. The Tundish Build Operator is responsible for the daily activity of building and breaking down tundishes used in Vacuum Furnaces, working closely with Vacuum Melters to ensure the correct specifications and quantity of tundishes are maintained according to the melt plan.
Requirements
- High school completion or equivalent experience
- Experience in a related field, industry or manufacturing environment
Responsibilities
- Build tundishes for the vacuum furnaces based upon the most current melt schedule provided.
- Break down used or spent tundish to supply metal shells for tundishes to be built.
- Sort refractory from the used furnace linings and tundishes to be reused in tundishes.
- Maintain proper inventory of consumables.
- Routinely apply knowledge and skills to troubleshoot and optimize effectiveness of product in the best efficient manner.
