About The Position

STAR specializes in the custom design and manufacturing of physical experiences, including exhibits, retail and corporate environments, and branded events. The Cabinetmaker/Builder helps construct projects for trade shows, events, spaces, and experiential activations, contributing to projects that meet or exceed client expectations. The role involves building and repairing exhibit components, working with drawings and materials, and collaborating with engineers, designers, and other STAR team members. Occasional offsite work for installation and dismantling may be required.

Requirements

• Hands-on building and cabinetmaking experience.
• Ability to read CAD drawings.
• Experience using a variety of power tools and machining materials.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to learn new skills and responsibilities as needed.
• Ability to prioritize workloads efficiently and work independently.
• Ability to manage assigned tasks and timelines.

Responsibilities

• Build exhibits for trade shows, retail displays, corporate interiors, activation events, and similar projects.
• Read CAD drawings and create or build components accordingly.
• Collaborate with engineers and designers to ensure build specifications are met.
• Use a variety of power tools and machine materials.
• Work independently from instructions and directions.
• Refurbish and repair existing exhibit components.
• Perform laminating.
• Maintain equipment.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Occasionally work offsite with the STAR team for installation and dismantling.
