The Construction Manager is accountable for timely completion of assigned jobs and for ensuring construction follows approved plans, specifications, and local codes. The role schedules subcontractors and vendors, monitors their work and schedules, enforces quality and safety standards, and communicates plan conflicts or proposed revisions to the Area Production Manager (APM) and plans coordinator before any deviation is carried out. The Construction Manager reports directly to the APM and does not have authority to enter into monetary agreements, such as subcontracts, change orders, or work authorizations; requests for these agreements must be referred to the APM before work is performed. The position involves coordinating multiple job sites, maintaining production schedules, checking construction documents and work quality, arranging inspections, and ensuring deficiencies are resolved before construction proceeds to designated stages. The Construction Manager also enforces safety requirements and SWPPP protocols, keeps sites clean and organized, and completes assigned records and reports by their deadlines. The role requires jobsite travel and the ability to perform daily site visits and tasks without limitations. The employee must follow the Employee Handbook and the specified dress code.
