About The Position

Goodwill Staffing is a full-service staffing agency within Goodwill of Colorado, offering various employment opportunities. This position is a temp-to-hire role with the potential for full-time permanent placement. The TSA Bin Agent will assist with TSA monitoring bins at Denver International Airport (DIA) and may move into a line attendant position. The role requires a commitment to serving people, the ability to multitask and prioritize, and flexibility to work various shifts including mornings, afternoons, weekends, and holidays. The job involves directing travelers, assisting with bin management, and ensuring compliance with TSA procedures.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalency is required.
  • Previous customer experience.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure in a dynamically changing environment.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must be able to pass a background check for airport badging.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to be on your feet for 8 hours a day.
  • Expect walking 15,000 steps/day.
  • Must have a voice that can project to direct people and keep the masses moving.
  • Ability to handle frequent questions.
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Ability to communicate by walkie talkie.
  • Must pass a thorough background check, potentially including criminal history, fingerprints, MVR/DMV search, psychological screening, sex offender search, SAM/OIG search, CAPS check, DORA check, drug and/or alcohol screening, and DOT testing.

  • Ability to work morning or afternoon shifts; weekends, and holidays.
  • Great ability to multitask and prioritize.
  • Ability to shift Queues from North Checkpoint to South Checkpoint.

Responsibilities

  • Organize, move, and restock security bins to maintain a smooth flow of passenger traffic.
  • Direct travelers to properly divest items into bins and respond to inquiries.
  • Assist in monitoring items, which may involve lifting/carrying bags and bins weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Ensure compliance with TSA procedures for items entering the X-ray machine.
  • Communicate via walkie-talkie, taking direction and communicating with the device.
  • Project voice to direct people and keep masses moving through TSA to gates.
