The Truck Tire Material Handler (MHL) position involves sorting scrap tires to determine repairability, reporting scrap weight, and reworking green tires and components to meet quality standards. The role requires understanding and following specifications, procedures, and quality requirements, adhering to plant safety, environmental, and general policies, and maintaining a clean work area. This is a medium to heavy work position that requires frequent stooping, twisting, bending, walking long distances, and a full range of motion in the extremities. The ability to lift 50 or more pounds occasionally to frequently, and push/pull a medium to heavy green tire buggy is necessary. The role also requires the ability to wear a respirator.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED
0-2 years of manufacturing experience needed
Ability to wear respirator

Responsibilities

Sort scrap tires determining which tires that can be repaired and which ones are scrap.
Responsible for Scrap 3 weight reporting to supervisor.
Perform other duties as directed by Tire Building Supervisor, Lead Supervisor or Department Manager.
Rework green tires and components meeting all quality requirements.
Receive written and oral instructions as to specs, procedures, tolerances, and various construction and quality requirements.
Follow standard practices and perform all work necessary to obtain quality and quantity production.
Follow plant Safety policies, Plant policies, Environmental policies, and keep work areas neat, clean, and orderly.
