About The Position

Pape’ Kenworth, a premier medium and heavy-duty truck and equipment dealer in the West, is seeking an Entry Truck Technician to join their team. This role is ideal for recent graduates or individuals eager to start a career in the diesel and heavy truck industry. The technician will perform basic repairs and maintenance on medium and heavy-duty class 7 & 8 trucks, including troubleshooting, diagnosing problems, and making necessary repairs in a timely and efficient manner. The goal is to support customers, maximize their uptime, and build the technician's skills and experience. The role involves comprehensive dealer-supported education and training, working alongside experienced technicians to develop practical skills in maintenance, inspection, and repair of heavy-duty trucks and related equipment.

Requirements

• Working knowledge of automotive or diesel trucks.
• One or more years of experience working on vehicles.
• Alternatively, applicants with a Diesel Tech Degree will be considered in lieu of experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic repairs and maintenance on medium and heavy-duty class 7 & 8 trucks.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose problems, and make necessary repairs in a timely and efficient manner.
• Support customers and maximize their uptime.
• Develop practical skills in maintenance, inspection, and repair of heavy-duty trucks and related equipment.
