About The Position

TNT Crane & Rigging Inc. is hiring an experienced full-time Truck Mechanic for its Midland, Texas branch. The mechanic performs maintenance and repairs on pickup trucks and shop equipment, follows applicable state and federal laws when operating motor vehicles, and complies with safety and environmental policies while performing job tasks. The position reports to the Shop Manager. TNT offers a competitive salary, health benefits, paid vacation, per diem, and the opportunity to work overtime.

Requirements

At least two years of experience as a mechanic in an automotive, trucking, or heavy equipment environment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to safely lift more than 50 pounds.
Must pass a drug screen and background check.
Current Texas Department of Public Safety Class C driver's license.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or GED preferred.
Trade school diploma preferred.
Two years of Power Stroke experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform scheduled maintenance on pickup trucks and other equipment.
Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, and other systems on pickup trucks and other equipment.
Document maintenance and repairs and properly file records.
Verbally communicate safety issues to customers and other workers at the job location before and during work tasks.
Report completion of assigned tasks to the Supervisor and/or Lead Mechanic and receive the next assignment.
Follow state and federal laws while operating motor vehicles and comply with safety and environmental policies.
Perform other duties as assigned.
