About The Position

Penske Logistics is hiring a Class A CDL truck driver to deliver grocery freight—including freezer, cooler, and dry products—to a major grocery chain. Deliveries are dock-to-dock, with no pallet breakdown required; drivers unload and stage products in designated store areas and maintain a professional, courteous demeanor with customers. The schedule is either Tuesday through Saturday or Friday through Monday, with an 8 PM start time. The posting advertises average annual earnings of $100,000 for a four-day work week and $120,000 for a five-day work week. Top performers who elect to work additional days may earn up to $145,000 annually. Additional incentives include a shift premium of up to $10,400 annually and a $3,000 annual safety incentive. Drivers operate late-model Penske Truck Leasing trucks with comfort and safety features, including inward- and outward-facing in-cab cameras. The role is safety-sensitive and regulated by the Department of Transportation. Drivers must remain alert, work safely, and accept responsibility for their own safety and the safety of others. The position requires completing the required schedule and working at the specified location, along with an employment application, background investigation, and drug screening. The posting describes Penske as a nationwide company offering training opportunities and career mobility. Drivers represent Penske and its clients, and may drive client-branded trucks and wear client uniforms. Most of Penske's driving positions offer daily home time, and pay is issued every Friday.
